Dear, Klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin Charging Serum is a vitamin C serum that uses a vitamin C derivative, 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid. The advantage of using a vitamin C derivative is that it creates a more stable product. It is still able to offer the benefits of vitamin C like brightening, Wrinkle reduction, and hyperpigmentation.
Overall, I am impressed with Dear Klairs Product. It is a great beginner friendly product and perfect for all skin types. (Sensitive skin types be careful, it does contain 3 different citric extracts). I'm grateful for the updated packaging bc I've had the serum in the old packaging and it oxidized before the expiration date without opening it. I also love that this serum has vitamin E and B plus centella asiatica!
It is a very gentle vitamin C. It may take months of use to see results so do not expect miracles overnight or immediate results in 2 weeks. It also contains a few irritating ingredients, 3 citrus extracts.
