Real Barrier CicaRelief RX Fade In Serum
I received this product for free from Picky and Real Barrier in exchange for my honest review.
Key Ingredients:
▫️ Teca-Cera: Neopharm’s own combination of centella asiatica (soothe damaged/irritated skin) & ceramide (maintains skin’s natural barrier & provides additional barrier support)
▫️ Niacinamide: helps to improve hyperpigmentation & brighten the skin; helps regulate sebum production
This serum comes in a cylindrical container with a pump dispenser. It’s a lightweight, transparent serum with a gel consistency that’s a bit more on the runny side. There wasn’t any scent or fragrance, natural or otherwise, that I could detect. I was generous with myself and used 3 fully-dispensed amounts for my face and neck areas. It glides smoothly onto the skin and absorbs quickly, but found that it has a sticky/tacky feel once dried down. This is quickly remedied by my spf in the morning and moisturizer at night.
With the combination of centella asiatica, ceramide, and niacinamide, the serum works wonders in reducing redness, inflammation, and irritation, making it suitable for those with sensitive and/or reactive skin. Another bonus is it’s particularly beneficial for those with oily or combination skin, as it can help control excess oil. The hydrating properties are impressive. It provided an instant boost of moisture to my skin that lasts throughout the day. A highlight of this serum is its ability to fade dark spots and acne scars, old and new. In my honest opinion, fading old acne scars takes prolonged and continued use to see intended results. I think this is something I could see in time, it wasn’t the case in just a few short weeks. I will say that my face does look brighter and radiant though.
This is a nice product that combines the effects of soothing and supporting the skin barrier while also helping to even out the skin tone/hyperpigmentation and sebum control. It was really easy to use and worked well with products I was already using. Overall very nice and would purchase again.
