I would not expect to see the brightening effect from this product only. It does not “wow” me but it is okay for gently soothing and hydrating. The scent is something like sweet citrus to me.

The essence texture is foam-based, which is kind of interesting since not many brands come out with toner or essence in this texture. The foam melts absorbs quickly into my skin. The essence leaves the skin feeling hydrated. It is a good step prior applying the ampoule, which makes the skin softer. The skin then can absorb ampoule better. I think it does its job well as an essence.
