This is an eye cream that has 1% Bakuchiol, an extract from the babchi plant that is almost identical in the way it smoothes and lessens the lines around your eye area like retinol.
It also contains Quinoa Plant Peptides which help with an overall better look. Lastly Honey Locust Seed. This both tightens the skin’s surface and smoothes the eye area.
I had high hopes for this shockingly purple cream. I had never tried Bakuchiol before and really wanted to see if it was as good or better than retinol.
The texture is very thick. Paste thick. You really have to pat it on and it melts. There began the problem. It got into my eye.I don’t know if all Bakuchiol products would melt my eye ball out of my socket like this Moon Dew was doing, because this is the first I have ever used Bakuchiol but I was panicking. Flushed it with water.
The next night I tried it again avoiding the orbital area as much as I could. With the oils in my eyes, it still managed to migrate and I had a repeat of the night before.
The product did smell nice and fruity. The fragrance was lovely and the packaging was really beautiful.
I am disappointed this product went like this. It is the first time I have ever tried anything from Herbivore.
