No white cast on my skin, though on darker skin tones there could be. No shine it really is mattifying but in the summer when it's humid it goes really oily looking on my skin. It is recommended 5 pumps for facial application. It doesn't glide on easily so I pat/press this on with my hands until blended, plays well with other products.
