This serum has a whopping 49% centella extract, along with extra centella components asiaticoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid.
The serum is very hydrating thanks to moisturising humectants glycerin, hyaluronic acid and glycols.
When skin has that much moisture, it plumps up. This alone is enough to make your fine lines look smaller – temporarily. Hydration also makes skin soft and gives the complexion a dewy glow (think Korean skin).

• Packaging
Comes with a 60ml transparent plastic pump bottle. The pump is perfect in terms of how heavy it expels the product. It’s not too much or too little.
• Scent
No added fragrance or essential oils and I don’t get any scent from this.
• Texture
A clear gel in a pump bottle that leaves a slightly tacky feeling on your skin that’s incredibly hydrating while still lightweight and comfortable. Goes on a bit sticky, but dries down and absorbs quickly. Very soothing. This product packs a huge amount of centella into the formulation. Layers well with other products. I use this product twice, daily after cleansing and toning my skin.
• Key Ingredients
Centella Asiatica
Centella Asiatica is best-known for its wound-healing abilities. So-called “tiger grass” from the legend that tigers would roll around over this grass to heal wounds. CICA soothes and reduces skin inflammation.
Ceramide NP
Ceramide NP is a mild ingredient that does not cause skin irritation due to its structure similar to skin lipid. It strengthens the skin barrier and fends off external stimuli. It keeps skin hydrated by sealing in moisture, preventing evaporation of skin moisture, and maintaining the healthy balance of oil and water.
Peptide
The peptide is composed of two or more amino acids that make up protein. This ingredient encourages enhanced skin radiance by helping increase skin regeneration, improving wrinkles, and enhancing skin’s elasticity.
• Personal Experience and Thought
I am so happy that Purito came out with fragrance-free versions of their products! I have acne-prone and oily skin with dehydrated or dry patches especially on my nose area. This serum is lightweight but hydrating enough for my skin. It's the only product I've changed in my skincare routine last year when my skin purged really bad due to my prescribed retinoid cream.
The first thing I’ve noticed is how incredibly hydrating it is. I also noticed a reduction in texture, less redness, less irritation, smoother skin and healing new acne scars. It is such a relief to finally have skincare product that work and don't cause irritation.
I also have a problem with my hormonal cystic acne and this has helped me to finally get it under control. And, the ceramide NP is much higher in the ingredients list and I think that helps a lot.
Overall, it's a great serum with awesome ingredients at an affordable price and I will continue to repurchase!
• Do you need it?
If you’re looking for a hydrating or soothing serum (something you can use on flights or to help your skin better tolerate retinoids for example), this is a great option to consider.
• Suitable For
All type of skin can use this products and supposedly good for sensitive, irritated and inflamed skins (oily or dry).
I’d recommend consistent use since I didn’t see results after one application (apart from the hydration). Trying it for a minimum of 7 consecutive nights should let you know whether it’s suitable for your skin.
At first, I only used this product at night before I sleep because it leaves my skin quite tacky and I REALLY HATE feeling products on my face. It also leaves my face shiny or glowy and I'm not really a fan of that either. I can't tell if it was because it can't fully absorb into my skin, or if it was leaving a film on my face. Despite how much I hate the finish of this product on my skin, I continue using it until...
I've learned that this product absorbs into my skin much faster when I apply it on a moist face. I've also learned that I wasn't waiting long enough before applying the cream or moisturiser on top of the serum. After making a few changes to the way I apply this product, I can barely feel the tackiness anymore!
