My favorite way to fill in my eyebrows is using powder and a thin angled brush, but I've been trying to find a quicker and more portable alternative. I wanted to try out this one by Missha because I thought a wood pencil would allow me to sharpen the tip to be more precise than a typical brow pencil. This pencil isn't bad, especially for the price, but unfortunately I just don't find myself reaching for it much.
If you have naturally thick eyebrows and just want some quick subtle pigment to bring them together, this could be a good choice for you! The color isn't overly intense, and it has a built-in spoolie so that you can quickly brush out your brows after filling them in. It will also last quite a while, and it is very smudge-proof!
š Difficult to apply smoothly
š Pigment bunches up sometimes
š Can't do very precise strokes
š Requires regular sharpening

Even though I thought a pencil would be quicker than powder in theory, I end up taking longer to do my brows when I use this pencil. I struggle to get the pencil to draw smoothly- it often skips over the skin or the pigment goes from not applying at all to applying too much. The color also tends to bunch together (see swatch photo), which can cling to hairs and is difficult to clean up without leaving too much pigment in that spot. No matter how much I sharpen it, I can't get the tip as sharp as I prefer, so the strokes end up looking a bit blurry and messy. Having to sharpen it in general may also be a con for many, since it can be a pain if you're in a rush.
If you don't need to do much work with your brows to begin with, I honestly think you won't have much of a problem with this product. But if you're like me and prefer more precision to fill in sparse brows, this sadly doesn't impress me much.
