Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA

product review positives
💟 Product Description 💟 The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA is a concentrated serum with pure alpha arbutin and hyaluronic acid. Alpha Arbutin reduces the looks of spots and hyperpigmentation. It's used at a high two percent concentration versus a standard concentration of one percent and supported with a form of hyaluronic acid for enhanced delivery. 🤩 Benefits 🤩 - Brightening - Hydrating - Clarifying 🧪 Key Ingredients 🧪 - Arbutin - Hyaluronic Acid 😍 Suitable for 😍 All Skin Types 🫖 First Impressions 🫖 ☀️ Packaging ☀️ The packaging is both elegant and fancy. It comes in a clear bottle with a dropper, much like the rest of The Ordinary's products. It makes for very accurate control over the amount of liquid dispensed. If I could adjust one thing about the packaging, it would be the pipette. It doesn't hit the bottom of the container, making it impossible to get the remaining liquid. ☀️ Scent ☀️ This serum is fragrance free. Light clinical scent but doesn’t bother me. ☀️ Texture ☀️ The serum’s texture is very light, It has a light tackiness. Clear, light, viscous. ☀️ Application ☀️ It feels heavy at first when applied to my skin, but it easily absorbs. After it absorbs, you can find a faint stickiness. Working with the serum on the skin can be challenging. If the serum isn't rubbed on well, it will dry out and it will leave the skin a weird sticky film. I want to softly massage it in and then tap it in an upward direction to aid maximum absorption. ☀️ My Experience ☀️ It's the one thing that got rid of my dark spots. For just 2 months. It's been about six months since I started using it. By the time I almost finished half of the glass, I had seen a small change and was eager to begin. They have the same texture with niacinamide where you should be patient on working in to the skin. Before and after photo: Before (upper left) After (lower right) I use this twice a day everyday, morning and night. I partner it with a Vitamin C serum in the morning and niacinamide in the evening. As you can see from my results, I have no words. Just like magic. 🛼 Final Thoughts 🛼 I used to have a lot of dark spots along my jawline and cheeks, and Alpha Arbutin totally removed them. This is one of my favorites from The ordinary! What I would say is that it takes a while to see results, but once I did, I used only half of the bottle to get the results I needed. And indeed, it works wonders. I didn’t felt any hydration, coming from an oily skin, it is kind of mattifying to my skin. The price is bombshell. A great vitamin C dupe for sensitive skin. 🙀 Would Kyle Recommend? 🙀 Yes! Highly recommend for all skin types. For those who are suffering dark spots, this is gonna be a killer! 🌟 Rating 🌟 10/10
product review negatives
No major issues at all. I just don’t like the dropper’s pipette. I tend to tilt the product to get the remaining products from the bottom. Also I didn’t felt any hydration which is kind of a bummer. I really want this serum to dive deeper to my skin for rapid effects and plumpness. 🤍 SUGGESTIONS 🤍 -Add more hydrating ingredients/ percentage -Change the pipette
