As an active person, I put my hair through a lot- sweat, exposure to sun, wind and rain, last minute messy ponytails made from questionable materials i had on hand (hey, sometimes you just need it out of your face! To run faster, obvi...)
I like using hair masks once a week to keep my hairs rapunzel worthy, and I am always looking for one that moisturizes and restores my hair to its shiny bouncy potential.
This treatment was rich and had a thick texture that stayed in well. It has a definite "salon" smell, reminiscent of high-quality hair care. It's a pre-shampoo treatment, so it's pretty heavy duty.
After leaving it in for 10 minutes and shampooing and conditioning regularly (always rinse in cold water!), I let my hair air dry.
I didn't notice a huge difference from the photos. My hair looked shinier before, but a bit more frazzled. It wasn't as noticeably shiny afterward, which was unexpected, though it did feel very soft and moisturized.
I think this would be great if you have severe damage, but wasn't what I was looking for as far as shine and wow factor, at least for my hair type (2b/c).
