I was so excited to receive this product and I absolutely couldn't wait to try it!
I’ve heard that this acne treatment doesn’t dry out spots but rather, hydrates and soothes them, which sounded perfect because I have dry and sensitive skin anyways so many harsh spot treatments wreak havoc on my skin.
I have tried numerous spot treatments which have all made my skin worse that it was before, drying the skin and making it flakey. Over time I have learned that I actually have dry and sensitive skin so these types of spot treatments are particularly harsh on my skin and I had given up on spot treatments completely.
This spot treatment has a smooth-serum texture that feels hydrating and absorbs into the skin easily. I do my regular cleanser, toner, serum and then go in with this spot treatment before continuing on with my moisturizers. The bottle comes in a mini serum bottle with a dropper.
I take a drop onto my finger then tap it into the spots as needed, letting it absorb completely before moving on with the rest of my routine. The serum also features pink ceramide capsules, which help to strengthen the skin's natural barrier.
Speaking of, the ingredients in this serum are great: tea tree extract and green tea leaf extract are two of the main featured ingredients. When I first saw tea tree I was a bit hesitant because tea tree oil was one of the products I had used in the past which had intensely dried out my skin, but I learned that tea tree extract is different, as it is only the extract of the leaf rather than the oil. It also features 4-Terpineol (also from tea tree) which has antibacterial properties, perfect for helping to clear acne skin.
All in all, this spot treatment is seriously a life saver!! Big spots already go down the day after one use, like magic. After a couple days the spots are basically gone. It’s super gentle and a little goes a long way. Would definitely recommend if you’re in need of a spot treatment that doesnt dry out your skin. I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out.
