Face Republic - Camelliaskinensis review for [Discontinued] Calamine Clay Mask

🌸 This is a kaolin clay mask with detoxifying properties, calamine to soothe irritated skin and moisturizing botanical oils. 🌸 It comes in a silky pink paste that’s quite easy to spread without caking or being overly messy — I really like the texture of this one. 🌸 I limit my use of clay masks because they dry me out. I found myself reaching for this, however as my skin’s been congested in the tzone and chin since I got back from holiday, still purging from a strong exfoliator I used some weeks ago and compounded by extreme weather conditions and the stress of getting back on the job. I typically dial down chemical exfoliation when my skin is problematic so this really came in handy. 🌸 I used the mask on the congested areas on my face and this effectively decongested my pores and helped some of the painful bumps underneath the surface come to a head. I have to say, the calamine really works in soothing trouble spots and bringing down redness, PLUS my skin didn’t feel tight or dry after I rinsed it off. It’s not difficult to rinse off either, and doesn’t clog my sink.
