I am a big fan of rosehip oil, so a serum containing this ingredient is always going to pass in my book. The combination of rosehip oil and niacinamide makes for a good duo. The rosehip oil helps to provide deep hydration while niacinamide works hard in the background to brighten skin gently, creating a smoother skin canvas. I usually apply in the morning as part of my skincare routine.
The texture is slightly creamy in a pale white colour. I didn't feel the absorption was super quick (it does have a cream base), and you can feel it on the skin after application. However, it didn't leave behind any greasy residue and it does eventually settle or disappear within a few minutes into the skin. It's something to take into consideration if you're in a hurry but need to layer products such as sunscreen or moisturizer as well.
In terms of a scent, there is a delicate rose fragrance that remains even after application, so those with scent sensitivities may wish to take heed.
While serums should usually be followed by a moisturizer, if you're in a pinch and don't have any of the latter, applying a serum like this one to help retain moisture and softness in the skin owing to its oil properties.
