This thick yellow ointment is super helpful for shrinking large, painful nodules and whiteheads. It feels thick and greasy, but that serves to give it a sort of slugging effect, with the oil holding the antibacterial sulfur close to the skin. Certainly even with my oily skin, this stuff has never made a zit worse! I put on a thick layer overnight and then wash it off in the morning. The directions say to only leave it on for 10 minutes, but when I get acne, it is stubborn. My skin is none the worse for wear due to how I use it.
