It has a very light consistency and is sometimes a little watery or oily, which I don't mind so much for my oilier skin. It goes on nicely and sinks in well, and I noticed my dark spots faded a little after using this for a while. The best part is probably the price, I think it was about £6 at home bargains, so really a steal for a good solid retinol serum
