This scrub contains a mixture of 1.2% fig powder & black sugar to gently exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells. This is a physical exfoliator, not a chemical exfoliator (aha, bha, etc).
The consistency of this scrub is rich with a smooth pasty texture, applying easily on the skin. It has small sugar crystals that dissolve effortlessly when rubbed in, and dissolve even easier when adding a little water. Compared to the Klair's youthful glow sugar scrub, this one is more gentle on the skin and not as abrasive. Even with the exfoliation, this scrub doesn't strip my skin whatsoever and actually leaves my skin feeling very moisturized.
Every time I use this scrub my face feels so smooth, looks brighter, and much less dull. It also smells just like the Fig Cleansing Balm(review further down the page) which has a light, sweet fruity scent. I think this is a great exfoliating option for all skin types!
