I'm pretty sure everyone has used Albolene at one point in time or another. But i'm primarily writing to those who have never heard of her.
Albolene is a household staple in most makeup artists cabinets--for the simple fact that it can remove heavy makeup, dirt, oil, etc as well as deeply moisturizing the skin.
The key ingredients are:
Mineral oil is a skin conditioner used to soften and smooth the skin.
Petrolatum is a moisturizing emollient and skin-conditioning ingredient. It also provides protection to help keep the skin’s own moisture from evaporating.
Paraffin is a skin-conditioning ingredient that contains lubrication properties and can also help retain moisture in the skin.
Ceresin is a naturally occurring wax that is used as an emulsifier and conditioner.
Beta-carotene is a carotenoid compound and is used as a skin-conditioning ingredient.
My Experience:
I've been an avid user for about 20+ years. This was the first makeup removing product I used in high school and before myself, my mom was in love with it.
The cream-like gel dissolves makeup almost instantly making it easy to wipe away clean without scrubbing or causing too much damage to the sensitive skin. Especially around your eyes.
What I love? Definitely has to be the fact that this product can be used instead of most cleansers or oil-based makeup removers. A definite recommend for picky people who don't fancy the alternatives. It's gentle, fast and effective.
What I dislike? Probably the heavy weight and overall feeling of greasy grease it leaves behind. Nothing like oil-based cleansers but definitely on the same page. It can be a little different for newbie removers to get used to but I think the results speak for themselves. Well worth the icky feeling! Lol
