This is my first time trying a Drunk Elephant product and wanted to see if the Bora Barrier Repair Cream lived up to the hype around this brand. The first thing I noticed was how thick this cream was. This is by far the heaviest facial moisturizer I have tried. The texture is rich like a deluxe body cream. Due to its thickness, this does not glide across you face as easily as most moisturizers and you can feel on application a bit of heaviness on the skin. To my surprise, this did sink in within a few minutes and I was left with a nice protecting barrier that felt hydrating without the usual slimy or oily feeling. This is the type of product I wish I would of had when it was a bit colder out, as this would be the perfect cream to protect my skin when out on snowy or windy walks. I did notice that when I applied this before bed, my eyes would become irritated, even though I did not apply super close to my eye, so I will need to be more mindful of using this just on my cheeks and forehead. This is not fragranced, which is a major plus as I feel no need for perfumes in face products. The packaging is also very nice and only dispenses what is needed, so nothing goes to waste. I believe this cream would be a nice option for anyone who prefers a deluxe moisturizer for their face.
