Snail & Azulene Water Essence
💜 This is a moisturizing water essence formulated with 87% snail secretion filtrate and azulene and plenty of humectants, skin soothers, moisturizers and emollients such as beta glucan, sodium hyaluronate, betaine, allantoin and panthenol. I’ve been using this interchangeably as a toner and an essence, depending on my mood and what I feel my skin needs at the moment.
đź’ś This is a clear and viscous essence that feels cooling on the skin, absorbs easily and leaves skin soft and supple and more elastic. It also soothes my typical summertime skin irritation, redness and itchiness from the heat.
💜 This has no added fragrance but has a sweet gingery scent, likely from plant and flower extracts in the IL. I would prefer this unscented but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. However, this also contains saccharomyces, which is a malassezia trigger that I cannot use when I have active seb derm (I don’t at the moment), so if you have anything similar (ie, pityrosporum folliculitis or “fungal acne”) you’d want to steer clear. Otherwise this is a great essence that performs as promised.
