Today's review is on the ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream. ILLIYOON is actually a brand that I am familiar with and I have tried this cream in the past about 4 or more years ago. I heard that it has been reformulated since I last tried it, so I was curious to see if I would experience any changes or differences since the last time I used it. From what I remember, I did really enjoy using it with the formulation that was available during that time.
ILLIYOON: "Powered by Phyto Ceramide™, patented Ceramide Skin Complex™, and Soja extract, this cream offers deep hydration and soothing for dry, itching skin while restoring healthier skin barrier".
What initially made me gravitate to this cream years ago was the ceramides. I was all about the skin barrier support and I still am. I wanted something to soothe and moisturize my compromised skin barrier from all the actives I was using. I am happy to report that I love it just as much now as I did back then! It's nicely moisturizing and hydrating like I remembered. It contains encapsulated ceramide beads that blend into the skin as you rub it in. The version I used years ago also had the same ceramide beads.
It's nicely thick without being too incredibly thick and occlusive. My dry sensitive skin loves it. I do worry that it might be a little too thick for oilier skin types though. It's fragrance and essential oil free which is great and it layers well over my other skincare. This is a very well loved skincare item by many, and I can see why it does have such a cult following. They have a lotion version in this same ato line, so maybe the oilier skin types will like that lighter version better. Overall, I do love this cream and I highly recommend this to those with dry sensitive skin that are looking for barrier support. This will definitely be a staple product for me, especially during the dry seasons. 10/10!
