Effaclar Duo+ M

product review positives
This lightweight gel glides over the skin effortlessly and absorbs very quickly, without residue. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and hasn't triggered any flare-ups, so I am happy to use it on days where the odd blemish might appear. The key ingredients are: šŸ”µ Niacinamide (AKA Vitamin B3) which is a versatile ingredient known for its ability to soothe inflammation, reduce redness and strengthen the skin's barrier function. It can also help even out skin tone and improve texture. I do have quite a bit of texture, so this ingredient is a great one for me. šŸ”µ Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) noted for its exfoliating properties. It penetrates deep into pores to remove excess oil and dead skin cells, which can help in preventing and treating acne. Whilst I am fortunate not to have the acne sometimes associated with rosacea, Salicylic Acid also has anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce swelling and redness, that I personally find helpful. šŸ”µ Zinc is a mineral with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It helps to regulate sebum production, controlling excess oil and preventing clogged pores. Additionally, Zinc aids in wound healing and has antibacterial properties, which can help with some of my rosacea issues. Overall, I find this product good for days when my skin is a little congested, with the odd blemish. I find it is effective at reducing the appearance of spots and pimples, as well as calming redness and it doesn't dry my skin when used occasionally. For those with combination or oily skin, I think this would be ideal to use on a daily basis.
