š± Natural finish. More dewy than the old formula.
š± It's not that heavy or sticky. It's actually somewhat lightweight for a mineral sunscreen.
š± It sits nicely on top of other products and doesn't pill.
š± Has a slight herbal scent that goes away quickly.
š± Apart from the UV filters, it has great ingredients like niacinamide, mugwort, and squalane.
š± My skin is comfortable using this even when my barrier is damaged and sensitized.
š± I love how the tube applicator looks.
OLD FORMULA:
The best sunscreen is the sunscreen you like putting on. With a step as important as sunscreen, you shouldn't hate or dread putting it on. I've never had the best experience with sunscreens because they're always heavy, sticky, and leave a white cast on my brown skin. But THIS! SUNSCREEN! IS! AMAZING! I was initially worried about my skin feeling excessively oily and suffocated after a few hours of wearing the sunscreen, but this doesn't do that. It leaves a semi matte finish, it's light weight, and there's no white cast. Sometimes I use this alone without an initial moisturizer and it doesn't dry me out (might not be the case for everyone though). I also find the ingredients amazing! Im not sure if they're actually soothing/ nourishing my skin, but it definitely doesn't irritate my skin whenever I'm breaking out.
š± You need to use moisturizer underneath.
š± You cannot use this if you're in a hurry because it's hard to blend.
š± Takes awhile to absorb
š± Not a huge fan of reapplying this.
š± Kind of difficult to wash off with your cleanser. You'd need an oil cleanser first to really remove it even though it's not waterproof.
š± Has a WHITECAST. I tried to justify it as a tone-up effect before, but it actually has a bad whitecast on my olive/medium skin. After about 20 minutes, the cast isn't as noticeable anymore but it's still there and makes me look a bit grey.
