It has a super soft, creamy lather that deeply cleanses without stripping or drying out my sensitive skin. The charcoal powder is so fine in this that any physical exfoliation happening is very mild, even when using very little water. As someone who has a fair amount of bad or allergic reactions l, I really appreciate short and sweet ingredient lists like this one. This has gentle and amino acid based surfactants plus papaya extract and charcoal powder as it exfoliants. This works wonderfully at breaking down the sebaceous filaments on my nose and smoothing out the KP bumps on my cheeks, I can’t say how much this works on clearing out my pores just yet as I’m only a few weeks in to testing this out but it has quickly moved in to my heavy rotation skincare and I find myself reaching for this over my other exfoliation cleansers! I had previously been using the cerave SA cleanser and I find this powder wash to be just as, if not more effective and far less irritating. For drier folx like myself, this is a good every other night kinda cleanser but for oilier skin types this is could be a great gentle, fragrance free daily option. I’d be really interested to try mixing this in to more of a thicker paste to use as a wash of mask on my t zone 🤔
I’m new to powder cleansers and it took me a few tries to get the right powder to water ratio. Too much water and this gets messy and loses a lot of its foaminess. That being said, I do like that you can customize the level of sudsy-ness to it
