I love that this is a gentle retinoid. It allows you to gradually increase your dose. I also love the ingenuity. We need new developments in skincare.
The texture is a pleasant gel cream. No fragrance. And I love the pump bottle. This pump is one that allows for partial pumps so you have more control over how much you dispense.
This is really expensive for what it is. You can get adapalene for much cheaper. However, in theory, this includes soothing ingredients, which can cut down on other products one might need to include to offset the harsh effects of a retinoid.
It did pill with some other products. I had to adjust and re-adjust how to incorporate this into my routine.
I didn't experience any irritation in terms of dryness or redness, so I was able to ramp up the frequency quickly. Unfortunately, I started developing deep pimples. I attributed this to purging and tried to stick it out. I gave my skin a break and then tried adapalene to compare; to see if I continued to develop deep blemishes. My blemished improved, so I decided this product was just not for me.
