I've been in the beauty industry for over 22 years now as a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician and professional makeup artist. I've always been a big fan of all of Butter Londons products but unfortunately this time I was not that impressed with the Chelsea Blooms Manicure Candle.. I started by giving myself a full pedicure and then followed the directions and lit the wick after cutting it down. I let it burn longer then I thought would be necessary as it seemed to take awhile to melt down enough to where I felt would be sufficient, extinguished the flame and although I thought I should let it cool for a few seconds I did as it said claiming it would be the right temperature, I poured the oil into my palms and wished I'd let it cool, I do tend to be sensitive to extreme temperatures though.. I massaged it onto my feet and soles and it felt more like a was the a oil, it was thick and a bit sticky.. Then I had to remove the build up from between my nail bed and skin before being able to apply polish... I really wanted to like this candle but was really unimpressed with it..
I really wanted to like this candle, a d thought the idea was really great for personal use at home obviously and not in a salon.. But it was kinda sticky and didn't absorb well at all, it also made painting the nails difficult because you really have to make sure it's completely removed of used before..
