Clé de Peau Beauté Essential Refining Essence is a serum that contains hyaluronic acid and a sebum absorption powder to moisturize, mattify, diminish pores and absorb excess oil. The product is used after cleansing; to apply shake well and place on a cotton pad then apply to the face. I used both in the morning and at night. The serum has a light smell that reminds me of baby powder; I don’t find it overwhelming, and I didn’t notice the smell after it was applied to my face. After application my skin did have a more matte appearance and was less oily. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked, as other products I have tried that absorb oil haven’t worked well for my oily skin. I did notice an improvement in my skin’s hydration as well. Overall, I found the serum to be effective for oily skin.
