Experience 🧁: its good and reliable. I use this only on my lips but I like knowing that I can use it anywhere as an ointment, I tried using it around my eyes at night (I usually use vaseline or aquaphor), and didn't like it. Vaseline and aquaphor felt smoother and less greasy.
But if I put a thick layer of this on my lips before I sleep, then I wake up with moisturized lips!! Its so nice. Its not vegan but it's cruelty free which is also a plus because I want to support cruelty free and independent brands.
The only reason that I gave this 5 stars is because this actually lasts on my lips and I can use it at any time.
I would refrain from using other lip masks with fragrance and filler ingredients if I'm having irritation; but with this one, I am confident that it won't irritate me.
Vaseline and aquaphor don't last on my lips at all, but this does.
Ingredients 🧁: the only ingredient is lanolin. This specific lanolin is humanely sourced by Australian sheep farmers. This is the reason I wanted to buy this specific lanolin, because I've been wanting to try lanolin but I wasn't sure how other brands sourced theirs.
Texture 🧁: its a thick jelly texture. Its pretty stiff too. Vaseline is more smooth and thinner and less greasy than lanolin.
Finish 🧁: this is super glossy on the lips. When put on the skin, it looks greasy , like oil. I got this as a laniege dupe too, it looks exactly like laneige on the lips minus the tint. It feels the same too. I think this a perfect laniege dupe if someone doesn't want the laneige fragrance or tint.
Amount 🧁: this is pretty expensive, especially compared to other lanolin products. But I think its more expensive because you're getting it cruelty free and humanely.
This is actually about the same price per gram as laniege. Laneige is 24USD for 20g and lanolips is 16.95USD for 15g. Which means laneige is 1.2USD per gram and lanolips is 1.13USD per gram.
So I think its worth it, especially because its multipurpose, cruelty free and has a single ingredient (which makes it less likely for someone to have an allergic reaction to another ingredient)
