This Lip Serum consistency is nourishing, and usually when I say that it means it has a bit of hold and thickness to it. It's not an oil that wipes off immediately and mainly sits on top of the lips, this is a glossy serum that feels very much like a treatment.
When I notice it has completely dried down and absorbed after about 3-4 hours depending, my lips don't return to feeling dry, so I know this formulation is working to soften my lips that get very crusty almost instantly without a really good balm.
I am someone who likes thicker lip products for longevity, but also they're better at breaking down crusty chapped lips. And this Lip Serum is something I think we're all going to like.
So, bottom line . . .
💖It isn't sticky, but it lasts longer than a typical thin gloss or lip oil, and it IS plumping but it doesn't burn or sting. It feels minty cooling, but does not have a fragrance. Honestly, this may be my new lip mask for sleeping in!
✨I think if you really are into plumpers then maybe this would be worth it, especially since you could potentially get a lot of benefit from the retinol if you have lots of lines or uneven pigmentation.
⚠️ The directions on this product, due to the retinol active in it, means if you're apprehensive about this around the mouth (you should be wary), the brand advises you only use this two times a week max in the beginning. Then as you notice changes or regularity in how your lips are doing after 3-4 weeks, then you can increase how many times you use it.
The other thing to be aware of is that this Lip Serum is rather pricey at $23 USD. I think if you really are into plumpers then maybe this would be worth it, especially since you could potentially get a lot of benefit from the retinol if you have lots of lines or uneven pigmentation.
