This is a Japan's exclusive product from the famous Sekkisei (whitening) line. The cream is beige in colour and texture is like a soft tofu. It has a herballish smell, I guess? 😅. Not a strong scent so it kind of OK for me.
Apply this cream right after wash while the face still not completely dry. Massage for 1 minute and let it sit for another 1 minute. After that, we may remove the cream by using tissue and apply the rest of our skincare regime such as toner, essence, serum, and etc.
The result turns great. No tackiness, just smooth and well-hydrated. Because of that, I skipped putting moisturiser in my last skincare step. In the morning, I wake up with a very minimal oil. It means that the cream mask is good enough to cover the moisturiser job 😆. Please note that I have a combination skin. For those with dry skin, I would suggest to use moisturiser afterwards.
Since a lot of the ingredients are mainly for whitening, I notice my sunburn is a bit fading slowly, but surely. I guess, a distinct result will show if using it for a few times more. It is recommended to use it twice a week.
I have tried this type of mask from other brands but it has to be left for 20 to 30 minutes. Overall, I would say that KOSÉ Sekkisei Herbal Esthetic Mask is a quick fix for a busy person or before any occasion as it has a great result with just 2 minutes; not time consuming, of course!
This Kose Herbal Esthetic mask contains alcohol as the top ingredients to preserve the herbal extracts, so if you are sensitive to alcohol you might want to be careful.
To be honest, my face feels so sticky if just wipe it off by using tissue and continue other skincare straight away. So on the other day, I tried to wipe it and wait for a few minutes to let the mask to fully absorb, then only use my next skincare routine.
