Kansoskin is a Singaporean skincare brand with a focus on “skinclusivity” — to destigmatize skin conditions like eczema, acne, or redness. The brand was founded by siblings Joanne and Abel Ang who know first-hand how chronic eczema affects people’s daily lives. Their first product is Simply Better Barrier, an all-purpose cream which was created to help those who are struggling find relief for their compromised skin.
A blend of prebiotics, probiotics, and 17 types of Asian botanicals gives the cream antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe irritations and reduce skin sensitivity. Adenosine, Ceramides, Purslane Extract, Cholesterol, and Phytosphingosine protect and repair skin’s natural barrier.
It’s free of alcohol, fragrance, and essential oils. It’s pH balanced (pH 5.5 ± 0.5), can be used on face and body, and is suitable for all skin types. It’s safe for sensitive skin and babies too.
The has a thicker cream texture and is a good occlusive for sealing in other skincare products. It dries semi-matte, even when I use much. My skin gets a little greasy after a while but it might be because of the combination of all products I’m using.
Saying that, and with my naturally oily skin, I still love using it in the morning. It’s also perfect at night, a big dollop applied after tretinoin. My skin feels hydrated, moisturized, nourished, and protected. I had no irritations nor breakouts, just healthy skin.
