Hydrating Marine Algae Eye Patches

product review positives
To begin with I found the packaging really beautiful and I found it innovative to use marine algae and the formulation of the product seemed very interesting. When I opened the eye patches it had a fresh, clean or marine smell. Unfortunately the liquid had leaked a bit. But it wasn't too dramatic. I didn't have long nails for my first use so I didn't have any problems with tearing or anything. However they are very thin and slimey and can be hard to pick up in my opinion. I found that with the eye patches my eyes looked a little more awake but I don't really have bags I mostly have dark circles. But I didn't see any brightening effects on my dark circles over 2 weeks I guess it takes more time for that. And then they are indeed moisturizing but not extremely hydrating nor extremely plumping! But I found them very refreshing because whether I leave them in my bathroom or in my fridge it's the same thing it's been very very cold lately. I even felt like I had a brainfreeze in the morning😂
product review negatives
The first time I placed it under my eyes and in a few seconds I felt a sensation of heat as if it was burning me a little but I didn't see any red areas or anything so I left it on and then after 15 minutes I could see red marks appear on my cheekbones (my most sensitive area especially when my skin is irritated). That's when I said to myself "either my skin is sensitized or one or some ingredients irritate me". [I did too many tests on my skin with exfoliants and that's why my skin was dehydrated and a little sensitized] So I waited a few days and then it didn't burn at all and that's when I realized that it was because my skin's barrier was just a bit compromised! So I would say it's not for sensitive nor sensitized skin! Price: $49.99 usd: quite expensive
