Oh boy, how do I share this review tactfully (No Hate, Just Honest Thoughts)…
I received this product for free from BEAUTY OF JOSEON and Picky. As someone who absolutely loves Beauty of Joseon's serums, OG sunscreen, and their ginseng line (my mom swears by the ginseng sunscreen and eye cream with retinol), I was super excited to try the Beauty of Joseon Daily Tinted Fluid Sunscreen. Btw, I’m so sad to hear the news about the OG sunscreen 😔
I hate to be the one to say it didn’t work for me! Look at the ingredients for yourself! Believe me, I really wanted to love it, but here’s the truth: On my dry/combo, sometimes reactive skin, I found the formula to be way too drying. It clung to dry patches and left my skin feeling parched, which was a huge bummer.
Now, don't get me wrong, there are some awesome things about this sunscreen! It comes in *12 inclusive shades* (yay for diversity), applies smoothly with *no white cast*, and provides a *beautiful sheer coverage*. Plus, I did an 8 hour wear test running around doing errands with nothing else as my base, and wore it out in public (even near my eyes!), and I can happily report that *it didn’t sting my eyes*—so that’s a win!
*Here’s the real deal*: For my dry/combo skin- this sunscreen just wasn’t ideal. The denatured alcohol or alcohol denat, made my skin feel drier, flaky even and it gave me a couple of pimples the next day because of the stearic acid. Also, when I sat in the car, I could feel the sun heating up the side near the window—it felt pretty intense!
Overall, I’m still a huge fan of *Beauty of Joseon*—their OG sunscreen is my go-to, and honestly, I’d love it if they could make a *BB cream* with the original formula. Now that would be a dream, right?
I appreciate the opportunity to test these products, but I wanted to be honest with you all, because that’s what I would want if I were in your shoes. I hope this feedback helps!
Thanks for taking the time to read through, and please be kind—I'm just sharing my experience.
