The first thing that caught my attention was the scent—it's surprisingly fragrant with a strong herbal aroma, which I wasn’t expecting. It’s not a bad scent, but it did make me double-check the ingredients to see if it’s truly suitable for all skin types. After testing it a few times, I’d say this is an effective cleansing gel, but some caution is needed.
🌱 What the Balanceful Cleansing Gel Is:
- A cleansing gel
- Contains 200 mL / 6.76 fl. oz.
- Purpose: To cleanse pores of sebum and dirt buildup
My Rating: 3/5
🌱 The heavy fragrance is something to watch out for, especially if you have sensitive skin since fragrance doesn’t always mix well. This contains rosemary leaf oil, which has antimicrobial properties but is also a known irritant due to its camphor content. My skin leans more normal than sensitive, but I still take precautions to prevent breakouts. So far, I haven’t experienced any whiteheads or pimples from using it.
🌱 Compared to my other cleansing gels, this does remove makeup relatively quickly, but I have other products that work faster and more effectively.
🌱 After cleansing, my skin feels slightly tight and dry, which I don’t mind since I follow up with moisturizer and the rest of my routine. What matters most to me is that my pores feel deeply cleansed. That being said, it does strip some natural oils, so I’d recommend this more for oilier skin types.
🌱 The consistency is thicker than usual for a cleansing gel, which I found interesting. One pump is enough for the whole face, but you need to work the gel in a bit before it fully foams up. I liked that my skin didn’t react negatively or feel irritated afterward.
Your skin may feel dry and tight after using this, which is why I prefer this for oilier skin types. It also contains rosemary leaf oil, which may cause sensitivities is some individuals.
