This is a medium strength Retinol in Rose Hip Oil.
I bought this one to try, say over The Ordinarys Retinol selection because I’m not a big fan of Squalane but my skin has been quite good with Rose Hip Oil in the past.
This is a beautifully light serum, very easy to apply, super comfortable to wear and gives a beautiful glow! This semi absorbs as expected as an oil it won’t completely absorb straight away but you’re not an oily mess after about 5-10 minutes it kind of settles into a beautiful glow and less sticky/oily to touch and by morning completely absorbed.
This does help my skin feel nourished, soft and smooth. I do use this after moisturiser just as a precaution but may switch to prior in a few months time but I’m happy as is at the moment.
This is also available at a good price and has a long date on it - 12 month (in comparison to some other brands Retinols)
Revolution Skincare does get a bad rap and I admit - I would not touch more than half their stuff with a barge poll but I (with Rosacea/Acne Prone skin) have not had a negative reaction or irritation to this and it is fragrance free so I can’t complain.
(This isn’t necessarily bad but doesn’t fit into ‘good’ 😂) This on the first few occasions is drying and I purged around my mouth but this IS as expected.
I do sometimes wake up with a greasy-ish face, not all the time but if I add a bit much I do but it’s a given as I have oily skin and I’m using an oil but after a cleanse in the morning - beautiful!
