I've been using the Urban Skin Rx 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Serum Spot Treatment for a while now, and overall, it’s been a solid addition to my skincare routine. One of the biggest pros is how fast it works—my breakouts noticeably shrink within a day or two, and the inflammation calms down quickly. I also love that it feels gentle on my skin despite being powerful. It doesn’t leave that tight, dry feeling that a lot of acne treatments do.
Still, it’s effective and doesn’t irritate my skin when used correctly. I’d recommend it to anyone struggling with mild to moderate breakouts, as long as you follow up with a good moisturizer.
However, there are a couple of downsides. The formula can be a bit drying if you use it too often, especially on sensitive areas. I’ve also noticed that if I apply it on top of broken skin or an open blemish, it can sting a little. The pump packaging is nice, but I wish it gave a bit more control over how much product comes out—sometimes a little too much gets dispensed.
