good review
This is absolutely my favorite vitamin c product I have tried so far (and I’ve tried the super popular Klair’s vitamin c serum, which I liked but not as much as this one). It has a water-like texture and absorbs pretty quickly. I’ve almost finished my first bottle and it is hands down one of the only products that has visibly, dramatically improved my acne scarring. For instance, I have some fairly old scarring on my upper arms that I thought would never go away (and I was ready to wear long sleeves for the rest of my life lmao) but this serum has made the scarring almost completely disappear—yeah, I was shook too. Overall this product has evened out my complexion so much! I’m for sure repurchasing this again and again.  Recommendations. I think anyone looking for a way to diminish their pigmentation issues and even-out their complexion would see great results using this. I feel like a vitamin c product is a staple in most people’s skincare routines for good reason. This is probably one of the lightest and most affordable formulas you’ll find out there with equally amazing results as something much more expensive. Some warnings though. This is a very concentrated vitamin c product so it can be irritating, like it might cause a tingling sensation or slightly warm burning feeling on first applying it. But this wasn’t a big deal to me as it went away once my skin got used to the product and I think it’s normal with something like this. I personally use this in the morning, usually everyday if I’m not exfoliating or using some other product/ingredient that should not be used with vitamin c (do your research!). I don’t use this at night because I use a retinoid, which you should not use at the same time as vitamin c. If you get any unusual amount of irritation from using this vitamin c serum, check what other ingredients you used at the same time because a lot of ingredients (e.g. ahas/bhas, retinoids, niacinamide) should not be used with vitamin c. Not only will using these things at once probably obliterate the effectiveness of the vitamin c serum, you’ll likely irritate your skin. Also, keep this in the fridge or a cool, dark place and don’t leave it out, sitting open for too long. If she’s left out in the sun or air too long, she’ll oxidize (becoming yellow/orange) and lose potency (aka become less effective). If you can see from my photos, the serum should be clear!... good review
What i was curious from this serum about, is the percentage of this serum. It has 21,5% ascorbis acid guys, which is high concentrated and so potent for an ascorbic acid. I started using this on the beginning of quarantine time (around April). It was a nightmare for me bcs my skin was suddenly freaked out, pimples showed on every side of my face. Until today i‘ve still been struggling with healing and treating my acne that come suddenly and of course some of them leave a dark spot. That‘s why i chose to buy this serum, putting a big hope for my acne and its scars. But in fact i have a bit love-hate-relationship with this serum😅. So here are my experiences for about 4 months application: 💛 After the 1st week of using this serum, i‘m quite impressed with the result. Alhamdulillah biidznillah this serum made my angry acne and irritated skin more calmed in the next day! I think it‘s bcs of the tea tree water in this serum (it‘s just a water, not an extract). 💛 My dark hyperpigmentation were fading away faster than i expected, top!😍 💛 The watery texture makes this serum soaks into the skin in no time. No stickiness and it doesn’t make my skin more greasy👌🏻 💛somehow my pores looks smaller after every application of this serum🤔 💛 I didn‘t experience any kind of warm sensation or tingling feeling, and i didn’t smell any particular scent eihter.... 💔 This serum is extremely easy to oxidize IF i didn’t put this serum in the fridge. Before this serum i used another vit c serum which i didn’t put it in the fridge but it started oxidize after 6 months i opened the serum. But this serum just took 1 month to oxidize😢. Is it bcs of the high percentation of ascorbic acid? Idk🤔 💔 Around the hole of the bottle from the serum there’s no kind of plastic holder like other serum in general, which can make the product spilled if i tilted the bottle (it spilled a bit while i was taking this photo) and could make the intensity of the air exchange is higher. Perhaps this is another reason as well for the quick oxidation time IMO. 💔 I‘m not a person who like to save my skincare products in the fridge so it‘s quite uncomfortable for me bcs i need to make an extra effort just to put this serum on my face in front of the fridge directly 😅 💔 It‘s quite tingling if i had an popped acne or my skin felt irritated 💔 This serum leaves a white residues around the bottle cap, so it looks a bit messy for me. I wouldn’t suggest you to use this serum if you have a damaged skin barrier or never try another vit c serum before this one due to the high percentation of ascorbic acid in this serum. And IMO taking care of a vit c serum needs more efforts, so if you have vit c serum and you want it to last longer, i recommend you to put this serum in the fridge. And if you put more than 1 serum on your face, it‘s better if you put this first after toning or cleansing and then continue to the next serum. Otherwise your skin would feel sticky and might feel tighter somehow (on my skin). P.s. I have two bottles of this serum and this photo is my already my 2nd bottle. The 1st bottle was totally oxidized (very orange so i was afraid to continue it) and finally opened the 2nd one but this already oxidized tho🙃. But eventho this one is already starting to be yellowish, i‘ve been still using this and still fine, alhamdulillah. ((This review was posted by me in my IG on 30.08.20))... Read more

❤️By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum review❤️ Part of the leading K-beauty company Wishtrend, Korean cruelty-free skincare brand @bywishtrend offers a variety of products for different skin concerns. Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum is By Wishtrend’s bestselling Vitamin C serum. It is formulated with only 10 essential ingredients and helps to fade acne scars, brightens the skin and evens out the complexion. ❤️Key ingredients: ✅70% Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Water (hydration and calming) ✅21.5% Ascorbic Acid (brightening and anti-aging) ✅Allantoin (moisturizing and soothing) ❤️Packaging: 30 ml dark glass dropper bottle; 6m PAO ❤️Texture: non-sticky/greasy transparent, fragrance-free liquid ❤️Price: 30 USD ❤️My experience: Vitamin C is one of my favourite ingredients and the products with it are constantly present in my routine. My oily skin is quite resilient and tolerates it well. Do patch test is your skin is sensitive!!! This Vitamin C has really pleasant, easy absorbing texture that doesn’t leave any residue. The concentration of Vitamin C in the formula is pretty high, however, it doesn’t cause any irritation, burning, itching or any other discomfort for my skin. Using this serum helps a lot with fading my post acne marks. I’m getting couple of those big painful pimples every month and the marks on their place used to last for months. Vitamin C products used to speed up the fading significantly, but this potent serum rids of them within less then 2 weeks! It also does improve my skin tone and making my overall complexion looks brighter. ... Read more

The only problem with it is fast oxidation. It’s common for Vitamin C products, so I usually wrap them in foil and keep in the fridge, but for some reason I didn’t do it with this one. The photos were taken after using just half of the bottle and you can see it’s already quite yellow. Overall, I love the effects of this potent Vitamin C serum on my skin, but really wish the formula was more stable. ❤️Rating: 4.0/5.0 * not sponsored, self-purchased ... Read more

My skin loves Vitamin C and this is definitely one of the few serums that helped my skin and lightened my acne marks and hyperpigmentation 💖 This serum has a lightweight, watery consistency that gets absorbed by the skin pretty quickly. I experienced slight stinging when I first used this but did not linger. I have really stubborn acne marks but after I emptied a full bottle of this, I saw significant results. This is best used with either a vitamin E moisturizer or a propolis ampoule. 😊... Read more

The only downside to it is its tendecy to oxidize if not stored properly. I finished mine in about 3 months so it wasn’t a problem with me, but for some, it might be helpful to really take note of when you opened the product and really store it somewhere that doesn’t get exposed to the sunlight.... 💖BRIGHTENS THE SKIN AND GRADUALLY FADES DARK SPOTS/ACNE MARKS💯💖 First of all, thank you Wishtrend and Picky for your amazing collaboration. Because of that, I was able to try this serum out. Here's what I think about it: The product comes in a dark red packaging with a lot of informative details written on its box such as the ingredients, precautions, directions for usage, and some overview info about the serum. I personally like it when brands do this because it helps me become more knowledgeable about the product that I'm using and also because it is more transparent, right? The product inside is enclosed in a 30-mL dark bottle which has a plain cap and a pipette cap which you can use alternatively to cover the product inside. I prefer to use the pipette cap since it makes it a lot easier to get the product using the pipette than to pour it over on my palm. The product itself is a transparent fluid with a hint of yellow and it resembles water when it comes to viscosity. However, it becomes sticky when you start to put it on your skin. So, I've been using this product for 12 days now and I can say that it takes a couple of minutes before it sets on your skin. It is important that you let it set first before putting another product on top of it to maximize its efficacy. I also noticed that it made my complexion look brighter and my acne marks were lighter now than they were before. However, I think it does the job slowly so don't expect instant results. It's been almost two weeks that I'm using this and I still have a long way to go in order for me to see the results that I want.... Read more

As much as I love this product, I must mention these things that I don't love about this: 1. It is expensive. A 30-mL bottle costs 30 US dollars, that's literally a dollar for 1 mL! If you can afford it, go ahead though. I think it's worth the splurge. 2. You have to store it in your refrigerator in its box away from the sun if you want it to last you for months. Never put it in direct sunlight. This is because Vitamin C is very unstable and oxidizes quickly.... Read more

good review
Similar to some other Vitamin C products I have tried or seen on the market, this serum is SUPER thin and watery. I’ve found this style of Vitamin C to be best used as a spot treatment rather than for the whole face, since getting an even and thorough application can be tricky. I have been using this product for a month to target general hyperpigmentation and acne scars along my jaw line and neck. Just after cleansing, I apply about 3-4 drops of product into my palm and then use my fingers to “tap” it into various/specific areas. I find this application to be the easiest and most effective for me. I’ve read/heard that Vitamin C products like this can be mixed into things like toners and even lotions to get a more even application. While I think it MIGHT work, I worry about keeping the pH of this product intact and effective when mixing it. I don’t have all the details on pH and Vitamin C so don’t quote me on that LOL! I personally take the more cautious route and apply this alone right after cleansing…and leave it be for about 1-2 minutes before moving on. Over time I’ve noticed an increase of brightness in my areas of concern as well as an overall even-toned look. Now, the areas I am tackling have been an issue since my teens…and the hyperpigmentation is incredibly dark and deep. I still have a LONG, LONG way to go…but compared to 2 years ago Vitamin C has really moved things in the right direction.... Read more
bad review
A couple of things that I don’t particularly like about this product and similar Vitamin C serums is the occasional residue left behind and the fickleness of Ascorbic Acid in general LOL! Higher concentrations of this ingredient can sometimes be harder for the skin to absorb…which leaves a slightly sticky or tacky residue behind. While I tend to use this product every AM out of habit, there is no reason why this cant be used every other day or every third day with a good result. In fact, a few articles I’ve read state that Vitamin C is stored in the skin (almost like a “reservoir”) for up to 3 days…so I am probably overusing this product a bit. Storage of Vitamin C in this format can be a hassle too. The packaging recommends keeping this in the refrigerator once opened…which for some people may already be a deal breaker LOL! Having to run from the vanity to the fridge in the middle of your routine is annoying. Or simply remembering to grab it beforehand or at all LOL! If left at too cool of a temperature…these types of products can start to crystallize. Little “rock like” balls of Vitamin C begin to form possibly impacting the efficacy and/or clogging the dropper. I had this problem with both the Cosrx Triple C Lightning Liquid and the By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum. It took me moving the bottle around in my fridge to finally find a spot it was happy in. More recently, I have taken to simply leaving it in my cool/dark/relatively even temperature towel closet in the bathroom. I haven’t seen any of the discoloration or oxidation that can happen so I’ve been lucky. But, when in doubt, follow the instructions as written on the package.... Read more

🧡The By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum is effective in helping treat pigmentation, protect from UV damage, assist wound healing and improve collagen formation. Consequently, it also removes dead skin cells which evens up the skin and brightens the complexion! 🍊I have tried a lot of vitamin C serums before, but this one is amazing! It’s gentle and soothing to the skin and doesn’t have that tacky feeling after application. I used to have dull skin but this serum helped even out my skin and fade some dark spots on my face left by some zits. This is my new favorite vitamin C serum as it really works well at revitalizing my skin. ... Read more

TRUE TO ITS PROMISE!!! I have emptied a bottle after two months of consistent use and it did deliver on its promise. It visibly lightens dark spots on my face. Also, its texture can be easily worked with as it is watery and lightweight. It is so concentrated as it is composed of 70% Vitamin Tree Water and 21.5% Pure Vitamin C. This is definitely on my repurchase list! I do not mind keeping it inside the fridge when not in use in order to prevent it from oxidizing real quick.... Read more
