Microneedling should not be done over active acne as this can cause the bacteria to spread. However, a trained physician i.e. a dermatologist will not do this and can treat it if anything goes wrong.
It is not worth getting microneedling when you are currently breaking out as the acne needs to be under control first.
For post-inflammatory erythema, pulse dye laser is a good option but on lower settings for Asian or black skin.

Thank you very much. I will keep this in mind and follow your advice for treatment when my acne improves.

Have you tried VT’s reedle shot(50 or 100)/Medicube’s exosome serum, they’re supposed to mimic microneedling to repair and improve cell turnover, while I don’t have active acne atm, I feel it’s helped prevent closed comodones on my cheeks and forehead! I’ve also not had many whiteheads since using them.
For hydrating products, for all in one’s I love sleeping masks! I love this one by Mary & May, I find gel textures super hydrating and my skin still feels glowy and moisturised the morning after!

Oh I’ve heard nothing about the reedle shot doing that, that’s interesting. I just know it helps other products prenetrate into your skin better and should be be surface level/not deep enough to do that?
The mask does yes! Not immediately as it is a gel formula so does take a bit to dry down depending on how much you put on but the the hydration/glow is worth it!
