i disagree, some moisturizers are too thick for the eye area and can lead to milia if you're prone to it. the skin around your eyes is super delicate and needs products that won't clog or irritate. eye creams are usually lighter and made specifically for that sensitive skin. so while some eye creams are definitely gimmicks, others actually do have a purpose :)

I . . . Kiiiiind of think most eye creams aren't anything special compared to moisturizer. They both do predominantly share similar ingredients for moisturizing.
But . . . . There are 2 eye creams I received for review and I think they're both great because unlike most eye creams and most moisturizers, using them right up under my eye does NOT cause milia!
•haruharu wonder Black Rice Bakuchiol Eye Cream - So, this one is very light, is a little bit of an alternative to retinol, but will help to smooth out lines and wrinkling. It's nice.
•SK-II SKINPOWER Eye Cream - man, I can't believe I freaking like this. It's definitely comforting and moisturizing to my under eye where I use VT Reedle Shot to smooth all the bumpy milia I've had for decades. I feel that I like it, but I've only been using it for about a week, 2x daily. So, I'm going to keep going and see where I'm at after another week or two before I write my reviews on Influenster and Sephora.

Since I started using eye cream regularly, my eye area has really smoothed out. It seems to me that I had more wrinkles around my eyes at 20 than I do now at 40 😅. I'm for a good eye cream! And yes, I've tried a lot and I can say that not all creams are the same, but you can definitely find a good one! 👌🏻
