Tone-Up Cream

Recently I’ve seen Korean skincare that are described as a “tone-up” product. What exactly does that mean? Does it actually lighten the skin or is it a temporary whitening product that only makes your skin look white until you wash it off? I actually own this product but haven’t used it much to even really notice anything.

Tone up products usually have a slight pink tone to them, meant to brighten your face. If you test it on the back of one hand and compare to the other, you should see that the one with tone up is lighter. I like to use it before putting on my foundation. The jungsaemmool and d’alba are very popular in Korea!
