Avoid all actives and don't exfoliate until your barrier heals. That's what I did when I damaged my skin barrier. I simplified my skincare routine to only the basics, focusing on barrier repairing ingredients like ceramides. I used a gentle cleanser, hydrating toner, ceramide moisturizer and sunscreen. Sometimes I'll add in a hydrating serum like hyaluronic acid. The product that helped the most in healing my skin barrier is the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream.
