How I became a Yesstyle influencer

Hey everyone, looks like this topic is what you are all looking for. So I’d love to share my timeline of how I became a Yesstyle influencer. Honestly, I didn't know what it was as I never thought I’d become a beauty influencer without thousands and thousands of followers 🙈. I discovered YS by accident. So my experience may be different from yours. Hope it helps 🩷 - 21 Aug: Got my first brand invite from Mixsoon in Aug. At that time, I didn't pay attention to brand deals and not quite understand what it was, so I didn't claim the products 🙈🙈🙈 - 10 Nov: Got an invite to join the influencer program from Yesstyle. Again, I didn't pay attention & totally forgot about it. I chatted with another girl and she mentioned YS, so I applied via her link instead. - 18 Nov: Got accepted by YS immediately, prob I was already under their radar. After that, I started getting brand invites from: The Plant Base, Purito, Eqqualberry, Abib, Haruharu Wonder, Skinfood… via YS. And the rest is history. I want to try this. Do you have to shop from YS to get accepted? I shop from stylevana and applied and did not hear from them. It has been maybe about 2 weeks now.

I guess that will increase your chance of being selected since you already buy stuff from them and make them money! However, in my case, I didn't shop from them. I received a brand invite from Mixsoon, that’s how I went under YS's radar. So, I think either trying to shop from them or trying to get a brand invite.

I used my TikTok (1K followers at the time) to apply for the YS program. This is actually thejr official requirement. However, after receiving brand invites from many K-skincare brands, I can see that they only require around 500 followers, so you might not need 1K to get brand invites via YS.

Have you tried following the brand’s pages on IG/TT and applying to brand campaigns and giveaways? I’ve seen other creators literally apply for anything they come across from brands. Most of my collabs with K-skincare brands come from brand invites. YS hasn’t sent me anything. 😅

I’ve tried to apply, but since I’ve just started my journey, I don’t really have followers neither on instagram nor TikTok, so sadly they refused my application (twice TikTok and ig). Im trying my best to create a content and work on my socials, but not really sure what’s the best way to gain followers. If you have any advice on that part, I would be really grateful ☺️🙏🏼

I think my best advice after growing from scratch for a few pages is to tap into the community. The UGC community is literally the best community out there on IG/TT. I started off as a UGC creator first before knowing anything about YS or K-skincare. Trying to create relevant content on your page, showing your personality and choose to follow people who have the same vibe or the same journey. That's how you grow on socials without getting viral. Hope it helps.
