AXIS-Y Vegan Collagen Eye Serum – My Honest Thoughts!
I recently got my hands on the AXIS-Y Vegan Collagen Eye Serum, and since it's not available on Picky yet, I wanted to share my review here! My main eye concerns are dryness, dark circles, and deep eye bags, so I was really curious to see how this serum would perform. With a formula packed with vegan collagen, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, it promises hydration, firming, and brightening—exactly what I need!
Keep reading to see my thoughts on the packaging, texture, scent, performance, and downsides! Would love to hear if anyone else has tried this too. 😊
🛍 Packaging
AXIS-Y Vegan Collagen Eye Serum comes in a sleek tube packaging with a sealed box, ensuring the product is fresh and hygienic. One of the highlights is its cooling eye applicator, which makes application effortless and soothing. The metal tip feels refreshing on the skin, especially in the morning when my eyes feel puffy. The design is travel-friendly and mess-free, allowing precise application without wasting any product.
💦 Texture
The texture is lightweight and has a balanced mix of humectant, emollient, and occlusive properties. Thanks to the triple hyaluronic acid and glycerin, it hydrates deeply without feeling heavy. The added sunflower seed oil, jojoba oil, and meadowfoam seed oil provide nourishment and a smooth glide, making it easy to spread without tugging the delicate eye area. It absorbs quickly and layers well under makeup, making it ideal for normal to dry skin types. Those with extremely oily eyelids might find it slightly rich, but it doesn't feel greasy.
💐 Scent
The serum has a very mild, almost undetectable scent, likely due to the combination of natural extracts such as apple, fig, and papaya. There are no artificial fragrances, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin. The light botanical scent fades quickly upon application.
💚 Performance
On my dry under-eyes, this serum provides an instant boost of hydration, preventing my skin from looking dull and crepey. After consistent use, I noticed my dark circles appeared slightly brighter, likely due to the niacinamide and antioxidant-rich plant extracts. While it doesn’t completely erase my deep eye bags, the cooling applicator helps reduce puffiness temporarily, especially when stored in the fridge. The peptide complex and vegan collagen give my skin a firmer, smoother appearance, making my fine lines look less pronounced over time.
⚠️ Downsides
While this serum offers great hydration and mild brightening effects, it might not be enough for those expecting drastic changes in deep eye bags or severe dark circles. The results take time, and you’ll need consistent use to see visible improvements. Also, the occlusive ingredients, while nourishing, might feel slightly heavy for those who prefer a super lightweight eye serum.
Another minor downside is that the cooling applicator can sometimes dispense too much product if you’re not careful. A small amount is enough for both eyes, so it’s best to control the pressure while squeezing the tube.
