I am trying my best to transition into paid collab. I had brands whom I worked with gifted collab before, reached out to me again recently. But when I told them I am prioritizing paid collab from now, they never reply back. 🤭

Same, I also had a brand reach out to ask my rate on a video and I said $150, never heard from them again

Hey girl🥰 I would say the most important thing to understand is what kind of creator you are or which pathway are you leaning towards! For example, are you a UGC/ Content creator or Influencer. Because all of these 3 are different, if you do “UGC” you don’t even need 1k followers as you’re creating content for brands, and thats the only thing they will expect from you. Just to make content and not make viral videos. For “content creation” that’s when you create videos for yourself and need somewhat of a platform like 1k and so on, brands heavily focus on engagement too! For “influencer” that’s when you need to have a large following audience as you’re going to be influencing the audience to buy the product. Nevertheless always pitch yourself to brands girl! Even if you get an inbound email regarding gifted collaborations, always suggest a paid one. A lot of brands actually consider it 🥰🥰🥰

I think I had over 2000 followers when I landed my first paid collab but I'm not sure, it has been a while. But I'm at over 2600 followers on IG and over 1000 followers on Tiktok now and I had like 3 of 4 paid collabs all together, the majority of my collabs are still gifted, so I would suggest to grow your pages and following base first.
