You cannot strink pores with skincare, the only way to do this is via laser.

Dealing with open pores can be challenging, but incorporating certain skincare practices can help minimize their appearance. Using products with niacinamide can regulate oil production and improve skin texture. Salicylic acid is effective in exfoliating inside the pores, keeping them clear. Regularly applying sunscreen is crucial, as sun damage can make pores appear larger. Additionally, retinol can promote cell turnover and enhance skin elasticity, further reducing the visibility of pores.

Hi girlll !! Pharmacy student here. If salicylic acid is making you purge too much, you may be using a concentration way too high. Your skin is sensitive so it might be because of that. I would recommend using a product which contains 4% betaine salicylate (gentler form of salicylic acid). BUT if you are worried you might break out again, I would suggest niacinamide. Or a gentle BHA cleanser because their concentration are low. And retinal is too strong for your skin type. Try using bakuchiol or a retinol with a low percentage.

The peeling around certain areas is normal, and will lesson over time when using the same product. Pore size is dependent on skin texture, you would want to exfoliate and also use a product that will help with regeneration. And like always consult a dermatologist instead of depending on others advice. And no Lazer treatment is not always the only way, your pores are open for a reason.
