From Cup to Skin: My Friend’s Secret to Calm, Glowing Skin with Green Tea
To be honest, I never really paid attention to green tea in skincare. I always thought it was just something nice to drink when you want to relax. But after my friend shared her experience using green tea powder at home for her skin, I got really curious.
So here’s the story she has pretty sensitive skin. It gets red easily when she's out in the sun, and she sometimes deals with tiny breakouts. One day, since she drinks green tea regularly, she randomly tried using the powder as a face mask.
And her routine? Super simple:
•She used about a teaspoon of pure green tea powder (the real powdered kind not tea bags).
•Then she mixed it with a little warm water, or sometimes raw honey if her skin felt dry.
•She applied a thin layer to her clean face and left it on for about 10–15 minutes.
•After that, she rinsed it off with warm water and followed up with toner and moisturizer.
After doing this 2–3 times a week for about a week, she said her skin felt calmer, less prone to redness, and her pores looked much cleaner.
She could really feel the soothing and antioxidant effects.
And the best part? When she used it in the morning, her face looked fresh even without layering too many products.
Her tips? Super simple but smart:
•Make sure the green tea powder is pure no added sugar or flavorings.
•Don’t overdo it 2 to 3 times a week is more than enough.
•If your skin is super sensitive, just mix it with plain mineral water.
Now she’s even experimenting with a DIY green tea toner so she can get the benefits daily.
Honestly, I think it’s a natural skincare hack worth trying especially if you’re into low-effort, budget-friendly routines. Who would've thought something from the kitchen could do so much for your skin, right?
