Mineral sunscreens 🧴

Mineral sunscreens act like a screen, reflecting light. Their ingredients usually include zinc oxide. They're my favorite, i have sensitive skin and tolerate them better. I love the white film they leave (although many people don't). I've tried the one from La Roche Posay and recently a new tinted one from Merit (new release). I love it, but I'm looking for more options. I've seen the one from skin1004. Do you have any recommendations?

I suggest making sure that you read the ingredient list thoroughly on Mineral Sunscreens, as some brands use “boosters” that are technically chemical UV Filters. For example, there is an ingredient called Butyloctyl Salicylate which is used as a solvent, but it’s chemical components are the same as Octisalate, a chemical sunscreen filter. It is a UV absorber and is one of the inactive ingredients in the La Roche-Posay and the new Merit examples that you mentioned. So from a chemical perspective, it should be considered a hybrid sunscreen, but isn’t being marketed that way. I believe that Ultra Violette Mineral Sunscreens don’t contain this ingredient. I mostly use chemical sunscreens personally but have tried a small size of the Ultra Violette Mineral Sunscreens. (Adding pictures from Sephora as they aren’t in the database here)
