Skinceuticals or aquaphor?

Hi guys! I just watched Bachelorette Tayshia Adams’ go to bed with my video from Harper’s Bizarre, and she uses the Skinceuticals Hydra Balm to help with intense dryness over Aquaphor. This is my first winter in the Midwest, and I’ve been waking up consistently for a few months now with intensely dry areas of my skin, and as the day goes one, those areas will start to get dry too. Wondering if anyone had used this balm she mentioned because it sounded great! Or are there other products you suggest to help??? For reference: I currently use the skinfix barrier moisturizer in the blue container, and this is an unpopular opinion but it’s not my favorite. Doesn’t seem to leave me more mouisturized, and my skin barrier is fine between using this and Great Barrier Relief as needed so that’s not the issue. I used to use DE Protini, and I know we have some ethical issues with how they treat customers but it was the one that worked for me back in my home state.

So the main ingredients in the skinceuticals is basically a blend of petrolatum and squalane! You can easily recreate this with Aquafor and a cheap squalane oil like the one from the ordinary. I would give this combo a try and see if it works for you! :)

I haven’t tried it but this serum from skinceuticals is superhydrating and definitely worth a try.

I heard that Skinceuticals products can be hits or misses, but we can’t deny the time, money, and effort they put into their R&D. Haven’t tried that product but I’m expecting it to have an elegant texture and a good formula. It has fragrance which can be irritating but not to most people though. If you’re okay with fragrance, want to enjoy your routine, and have the budget, I’d say go for it. 😊 Some have this idea that expensive products are automatically rip-offs. Honestly, yeah, most are overpriced but there are some that are worth it, and Skinceuticals is one of them.

I think you should try the skinceuticals if you can afford it. I know the vitamin c is over 100 so if you can afford it, go for it
