Rejuvenating sets

Different brands of these sets are becoming a trend in our country. While many users claim its effectiveness, I am also wondering if these products are safe in the long run. What are your thoughts about these rejuvenating sets?

Generally, I don't trust them 😅. Most them seem focused on whitening and are heavily fragranced. It doesn't seem like the brands actually care about your skin. It's more like they just released the kit for the sake of releasing something and making money.

I agree! I am also genuinely curious how a single kit is perfect (their claim) for different skin types and concerns.

In my experience, its very effective. But for long-term use, it’s a big no no for me because it disrupted my skin barrier and it made my skin more oily, so I suggest be more gentle to your skin and avoid products with fragrances and products that can over exfoliate your skin, aka, rejuv sets :)

Thank you for sharing your experience! I also do notice that most people using these sets perceive the reddish/pinkish and oily effect as the glassy and healthy skin. I am happy for those people (some of my friends) who cleared all their pimples/issues by using rejuvenating sets but I am quite worried for their skin at the long run.

I don't trust them, I don't wanna risk my barrier even if the claims are "gentle" etc.

Yeah, most of the times, the “gentle”-labeled products aren’t that gentle for other skin types and the label is just included to attract those buyers who are in doubt.

I won’t get tired of saying this, but it’s a BIG NO. It may look nice on others at first, but it’s not worth it in the long run. I’ve tried one from Ryxskincerity last year and it burned the shit out of my cheeks. I had to go consult a derma. Luckily, it didn’t leave any scars because I talked to a board certified dermatologist about it.

In my opinion and from observing some acquaintances who have tried it, I don't think it's great for long-term use. It's actually noticeable when a person has used a rejuvenating set or not 'cause they do have this clear skin but it looks polished as well. Not sure about the term but the clarity of the face looks unnatural. I'm guessing the ingredients are harsh on the skin so defo not really great in the long run.

Exactly. I am really happy for those who finally achieved their “glass skin” but I’m afraid that their skin looks too polished because it’s actually getting thinner. I agree that it isn’t safe for long term use.
