Dry/Resilient
I have dry skin so AHA works best for me however I also have black heads. So having both separate works better personally.
I use AHA 3x a week, then BHA once a week only around my congested areas namely my nose and chin. I could not do this if they were combo.

Dry/Sensitive
My main concern is blackheads so Iβm currently just using a BHA product. I have sensitive skin so I am wary of overexfoliating. My skin isnβt super acne prone though so I donβt think both are really necessary for me. I also have bad eczema so I worry using one of each product could dry out my skin too much.

Oily/Resilient
That's fair! The combination of the two could definitely be problematic for sensitive skin. Thanks for your thoughts!

Dry/Resilient
I use both separately and found out it works better than AHA/BHA in one product. AHA has helped reduce the appearance of my whiteheads while BHA really helped with blackheads and bumps.
Paula's Choice has great reviews as I've read and Krave's too.

Yesss I'm so glad to hear your thoughts. I feel like separate products will be much more effective for me as well. Thank you!

Oily/Resilient
Beneficial for my skin if it's separate π
I have an oily skin, but my skin loves AHAs. Or maybe i just have more skin problems with AHA as a solution.
BHAs i use is more on the toner. While AHAs for treatment.
Both mentioned products has great reviews π

Oily/Sensitive
I actually use both. There are toners that has AHA and there are toners that has BHA. AHA recommended for dry skin because it is hydrating. It is also more gentle and water soluble and works at the outer layer exfoliation. Can cause sensitivity to the sun. Glycolic toners with higher concentration are advised to be used at PM. BHA is oil soluble, can penetrate deeper to the skin that can cause dryness, perfect for unclogging blackhheads in the pores. It is suited for people with oily and acne prone skin. Doesn't cause too much sun sensitivity so u can use it both AM and PM. AHA and BHA differs with formulation and percentage used in a product. There are some that can be used everyday AM and PM because it is mild and gentle and perfect for everyday toner like the COSRX aha/bha toner or the Glow Recipe BHA-PHa toners or the Peach and Lily Good Acids toner. Then there are some that has higher concentrations that can be used as once or twice a week. Perfect for weekly exfoliation like the Paula's Choice BHA concentrate, COSRX AHA Power Liquid, COSRX BHA power liquid, Kate Sommervile Intensive Peel, Dr. Dennis Gross Peel pads, Drunk Elephant Sukari Facial, Farmacy Honeymoon Glow. Then u can also check out Sunday Riley Good Genes, it's a gentle lactic acid serum that I usually use at night. There's also creams that has AHA BHA and PHA like the Somebymi Miracle Cream that I use as my day time moisturizer. I uploaded a page from Caroline Hirons book.
