Let's talk rejuv.

This is for my fellow Filipina's who are planning on using a rejuvenating set. First of all, what is a rejuvenating set? A rejuvenating set is a set of skincare products usually composed of (but not limited to) soap (usually Kojic soap with active ingredients), toner, day cream (sunscreen gel cream) and night cream (rejuvenating cream). As the name implies, it's purpose is to rejuvenate or renew the skin by accelerating it's exfoliation process. It should be noted that all rejuvenating sets have peeling properties and has active ingredients such as: AHA, BHA, Hydroquinone, and Tretinoin (depends on the rejuvenating set). Take note that rejuvenating sets are usually used by those who wants to whiten their skin/have glowing skin/have a blemish-free skin/ treat their hyper pigmentation and discoloration What to expect when using a rejuvenating set? 1. Peeling 2. Redness 3. Skin stinging 4. Breakouts Rejuvenating sets also target: 1. Acne scars 2. Dark patches 3. Big pores What to keep in mind when using rejuvenating set? 1. Never, ever, mix other products with rejuv sets because your skin WILL be very sensitive (use only what is included in the set) 2. Avoid retinol 3. Never go for the cheaper option, be picky with the brand, also make sure that what you're planning on buying/using is FDA approved 4. After using the rejuvenating set, resume your normal skincare routine or use a milder rejuvenating set for maintenance.
