Oily/Resilient
The moisturizer that I found out that works to prevent and strength my skin barrier is this one.
Love it a lot.
I wouldn’t use it if I didn’t use tretinoid as it is too thick for my oily skin but for my tretinoid nights is the perfect match.

Every third day is already SUCH a good start that is perfect. When I started or restarted or went up in strength the most important thing was only focusing on tret and hydration. Cut off chemical exfoliating entirely until my skin was adjusted and just doubled down on making sure I was moisturized all the time. That was HARD because in winter up north it’s dry as hell. Anything would set my skin over the edge, not frequent enough sunscreen reapplication, stripping cleanser, dirty pillowcase, fragrance, my skin would explode into a mess of flaky patches and redness and pimples. Really what helped me more than ANYTHING was Vaseline. I tried so many night creams, serums, layering my toner 20 times, the TEWL beat me everytime until I started slugging. Once I could retain moisture overnight, I could start reintroducing my other actives, I could get more frequent with tret, it all started coming together. Besides Vaseline, these products have also been super important for me to have to help stay moisturized and calm upset skin. Sometimes when I need to buffer my tret, I use the Hada Labo lotion, it works really well for that.
